Welcome to ECB Interventions, where individualized, intensive support is an option for your child in your home or at school in the West Houston/Memorial area. ECB Interventions specializes in providing one on one speech, language, and literacy (including dyslexia remediation) services for students in Pre-Kindergarten through adulthood. Sessions are tailored in the use of evidenced-based programs, intensity, and frequency to maximize academic outcomes and foster a love of learning!
Meet Ellie C. Buchmann
Passionate Educator And Life-long Learner
Welcome to ECB Interventions, owned by Ellie Buchmann, MA, CCC-SLP, WDP. Ellie is a licensed and certified Speech Language Pathologist and a certified Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from The University of Texas at Austin in 2002 and her Master of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Northwestern University in 2005. Ellie has over 20 years of experience in the field of language and literacy disorders.
Ellie is credentialed through the American Speech Language Hearing Association and maintains Texas licensure through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. She holds a certificate as a Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner. Ellie is also a member of the International Dyslexia Association. Training include, but are not limited to, Wilson Language’s Wilson Reading System® (WRS), Wilson Language’s Just Words®, TLC’s Lively Letters®, and LETRS®.
Our Mission
My mission is to partner with families to support each student’s unique learning profile through individualized, explicit instruction grounded in researched-based principles. I provide direct, systematic, and multisensory teaching that builds strong language and literacy skills, fosters confidence, and helps students become capable, resilient readers and communicators. My ultimate goal is to strengthen foundational skills, promote meaningful communication through all modalities, and support long-term academic success. I strive to help every child grow as a confident communicator, reader, and writer in a supportive and encouraging environment.
